Inergy

In mountain sport environments and more specifically while trekking, there are factors that bring discomfort to the user, like: the load that the user carries, the cold after the activity or at night, and the lack of light in the tent (at night) that restrain the user from performing their normal activities. For these reasons, Quechua and this project aim to create a future vision of mountain sports products that can collect energy from the human body and/or the environment in order to give comfort in 3 different levels: Mechanical, Thermal, and Usability comfort.

The final design proposes the integration of energy harvesters in clothing that collects energy from motion and body heat. This will allow storing and giving energy back as comfort in different areas.

The great interest of this concept is the use of an exchangeable energy storage system that allows the user to manage their own power according to their needs and situation, i.e. weather, terrain, load, etc.
